PROTON Cardan type

Cardan type conveyors are trolley models consisting of 4 bearing groups moving in a closed rail. These types of conveyors are indispensable on lines with their vibration-free movement, automatic lubrication feature and good appearance.

Cardan type drive unit is overhead caterpillar type or lateral gearing torque safe.

Pitches between the chain hangers are 400 mm and its multiples.
Through central lubrication unit on the system, chain bearings automatically perform lubrication process as desired time interval.
Torque limiter is used in order to protect the conveyor system when the drive units are compressed and forced.
The bearings mounted on the chain are capable of operating at 250°C.
The conveyor chain tensioning system can be performed as spring or screwed.
The cardan conveyor rail is particularly bent from the sheet.
In long-line conveyor systems, more than one drive unit is used and in such systems, a synchronous operation is provided between the drive units.
There are three types as Light Type - Medium Type - Heavy Type based on the need.

• Cardan type conveyor is based on moving the cardan chain in three axes on the cardan rail.
• Cardan Type Drive unit as: Top caterpillar type or Side gear with torque safe system.
• The pitches between chain hangers are 400 mm and its multiples.
• Thanks to the central lubrication unit on the system, the chain bearings automatically lubricate at the desired time interval.
• Torque limiter is used to protect the system from jamming and forcing of the drive units to protect the conveyor system.
• The bearings mounted on the chain are capable of operating at 250 degrees.
• Conveyor chain tensioning system is made with spring or screw.
• Cardan conveyor rail is specially bent from sheet metal.
• In long line conveyor systems, more than one drive unit is used, in such systems a synchronized operation is provided between the drive units.
