Completely modernized with Siemens Sinumerik 840D sl, new electrical system, hydraulics, and lubrication, designed for maximum performance and accuracy in flexible manufacturing. The LS 1000 was developed as a universal machine for construction machinery, wind turbine, and machine tool gearboxes, mining technology, aerospace, and textile machinery, and is suitable for both single parts, small series, and large series. The main application is the hobbing of straight-toothed and – with a helical guide and matching cutting tool – helical-toothed spur gears with internal or external teeth. With software options, the machine also processes non-circular gears, grooves, and cams; special cutters are used to produce couplings as well as involute and spur gears. The Sinumerik 840D sl with electronic gear train guides the user through workpiece and tool data via masks, without the need for programming.
