The Ilapak Delta 3000 industrial flowpack is one of the most highly regarded horizontal HFFS (Horizontal Form Fill Seal) packaging machines on the market, designed for continuous operation at high production rates. Machines in the Delta 3000 series are characterized by a design based on multi-axis servo drive technology, which allows for precise control of the film feeding process, product positioning, and cutting of finished packages. The LDR version with bottom film feeding is an ideal solution for packaging products with irregular shapes, sticky or easily deformable products (e.g., fresh meat, cheeses, bakery products with or without trays, medical products).

The unit presented here was factory-integrated with an advanced laser marking system from Markem-Imaje. The use of a laser coder allows for contactless, permanent and extremely aesthetic application of expiration dates, batch numbers or barcodes directly onto the packaging film during its unwinding, without the need for costly thermal transfer ribbons or ink. To ensure complete operator safety and a clean working environment, the set includes a dedicated, high-performance BOFA ES400i extraction system. The task of this device is to immediately suck up and neutralize the smoke and microscopic particles generated during laser ablation of the film structure, protecting the operators' lungs and the laser optics from contamination.
