1. AUTOMATIC EDGEBANDING MACHINE Model GTM 4/3 – GRIGGIO

The automatic edgebanding machine model GTM 4/3, manufactured by the Italian company GRIGGIO, is a new model launched in 2017, replacing the previous GB 4/3 model. It features a modern concept designed for straight panel edgebanding with PVC and ABS materials. The machine is equipped with the following working units:

a) Gluing unit for hot-melt adhesive, featuring rapid heating and a fully Teflon-coated tank for easy cleaning.
b) Pressure unit for bonding the edging to the panel – equipped with three rollers: the first is a large-diameter driven roller, while the remaining two are idler rollers with opposing tapers.
c) End trimming unit with high-frequency motors designed to trim the overhanging edging flush with the panel at both the front and rear ends at a 90º angle
• Installed power: 0.38 kW
• Blade speed: 12,000 rpm
d) Top & bottom trimming unit with two independent high-frequency motors for removal of excess edging from the top and bottom of the panel
• Motor power: 0.55 kW
e) Scraper unit for optimal finishing of 2 mm PVC or ABS edge banding applied to the panel edge
• Supplied with a pair of knives for use with 2 mm ABS edging
f) Buffing unit
• Two independent motors for cleaning/polishing the edge banding
• Installed power: 0.19 kW
• Equipped with 100 mm diameter brushes

General features:
• The machine frame is constructed from a single-piece, high-rigidity steel sheet.
• Panel feed system is of the caterpillar type, with skids covered with high-adhesion rubber.
• The skids move on dual steel guides – one round and one flat, both hardened and ground, ensuring straight movement and resistance to lateral forces from the working groups.
• Upper pressure unit made of aluminum, featuring rubber pressure wheels mounted on bearings, ensures improved linear piece movement.
