Cross-flow vacuum dryer with 31.68 m³ capacity

The chamber holds 1 package in width at 1.20 m, 3 packages in height at 0.80 m with 0.10 m thick spacer timbers, with a maximum wood length of 16.0 m plus 0.5 m clearance.

The chamber holds a net of approx. 19 m³ of trimmed timber with a wood thickness of 50 mm and a stacking stick thickness of 24 mm.

Technology (see detailed performance description under Documents)
- Stainless steel cylinder with 80 mm thick resin-bonded rock wool insulation and a ventilated external aluminum trapezoidal sheet cladding.
- A vacuum door with special lock for easy end-side loading with walk-on trolley.
- A vacuum water ring pump with a capacity of 5.5 kW evacuates the dryer (to be replaced in April 2025).
- For air flow through the stacks, 12 fans with 1.5 kW rated power each in delta configuration. The average power consumption in vacuum is only about 0.5 kW per fan.
- Hot water heat exchanger for max. 98 kW at 90°C supply temperature installed

- The electrical connection is 47 amperes at 3 x 400 V / 50 Hz.
- Excess moisture is condensed out via air heat exchangers.
- The chamber climate can be humidified as needed using a hot water heated evaporation basin.
- The chamber dries fully automatically. Only the wood type, wood thickness, and desired final moisture need to be entered.
- Control MB4000 V including control panel
- 10 wood moisture measuring points as well as climate and temperature sensors
- Run-out rails must be re-ordered, as these are concreted in.

The price is ex works and must be paid net before dismantling the plant. The plant must be dismantled or removed by the buyer. Dismantling is not included in the price.
