The DMG Gildemeister Sprint 42 Linear is specifically designed for automated turning operations. Equipped with two workpiece spindles, six linear axes and optionally two C-axes, it enables simultaneous machining on the main and sub spindle. The maximum bar capacity is 42 mm, and the high spindle speed reaches up to 6,500 rpm.

Technical features:

Axes & Slides: Travel ranges X1 = 65 mm, Z1 = 350 mm, Y1 = 120 mm with rapid traverse up to 30 m/min. The second slide offers X2 = 326 mm, Z2 = 320 mm, Y2 = 265 mm and rapid traverse 30 m/min (X2/Z2) or 18 m/min (Y2).

Tool capacity: Turret with 26 stations; suitable for both fixed turning tools and driven tools for milling and threading operations.

Spindles: Main and sub spindle with 6,500 rpm, rated power 5.5 kW (main) and 3.7 kW (sub), torque (S1) 37.5 Nm and (S2) 19.6 Nm, respectively.

Control: CNC Fanuc 160i-TB with SlimLine operating panel and 15″ color TFT – intuitive operation via industrial PC.

Base machine (L × W × H): 3,354 × 946 × 1,571 mm, weight 4,700 kg.
Electrical cabinet: 5,400 × 680 × 1,750 mm.

IEMCA Boss 545-E bar feeder (Type 32 LL, year of manufacture 2007)

The included bar feeder significantly eases series production. It is designed for bar diameters up to 42 mm, weighs approx. 860 kg, and operates at 400 V/50 Hz; required compressed air connection is 6 bar.
