Patent-pending A-arm film cutting and holding device starts and ends the wrapping process at the top of the load.
Cousins Smart Engineering has developed an advanced cutting and holding device with the A-arm. It provides significant productivity increases and safety benefits. This technology is only available on Cousins machines.

This unique method of attaching and cutting the stretch film offers the following advantages:

• Selectable top wrap function
• Stabilizes the load early in the wrapping cycle
• Places the film end at the top of the load instead of at the bottom
• No film clamp on the turntable that can be damaged by dirt or operator error – also, no slip rings are required to power the turntable, reducing maintenance.
• Load placement on the turntable is not critical.
• No air connections or noisy compressors
• New automatic safety feature for load detection during the first revolution detects uneven or partially stacked top layers and automatically adjusts the A-arm height to avoid obstructions.
