GENERAL FEATURES
CNC-controlled drilling and milling center, C-frame design, and worktable with adjustable workpiece supports and vacuum suction cups, for:
- Vertical drilling on the panel surface
- Horizontal drilling on all four workpiece sides
- Groove milling with disc cutter in the “X” direction
- General milling work
Self-supporting structure and work table
Structure made from welded steel construction with control cabinet integrated into the machine frame. Available in two different lengths and with standard workpiece supports or TV carrier options.
Box construction made from cold-rolled steel with internal stiffening ribs and protective devices comprising a drilling head with vertical spindles, horizontal spindles, an integrated grooving and saw unit, and an SCM electrospindle with HSK 63 F quick-change tool system.
Movement paths of the portal and unit carrier
Movement in the X, Y, and Z axes is via linear prismatic guideways with preloaded ball bearings. The X-axis movement (moving gantry) uses a preloaded, backlash-free rack-and-pinion drive with helical gearing. Movement of the unit carrier in Y and Z directions is also preloaded for precision. Positioning of the working units and machine function control is through "brushless" AC servo motors and digital drives.
CNC CONTROL
The control unit comprises a numerical control for the milling and drilling machines and a PC with a graphical user interface "XILOG PLUS".
