Bosch HTST (High Temperature Short Time) Pilot Pasteurizer (2011)
Continuous-flow plant for thermal pasteurization of liquids, ideal for R&D and small productions. This system can be used in the food and beverage sector (dairy, plant-based drinks, juices, sauces, beer, kombucha, etc), biotechnology, life science, and chemical manufacturing.
Process capability
• Product mass flow: 30 - 600 kg/h
• Pasteurisation temperature range: 70 - 135 °C
• Holding time (two tubes included): 10 s (tube 1) or 15 s (tube 2) / can be modified or reduced by using a shorter holding tube (not included)

Condition & scope of delivery
Machine is de-installed, stored dry, and can be inspected in Liestal (CH). Shipment includes everything pictured, including two holding tubes, control cabinet and the full paper documentation set.
HTST vs. UHT
The HTST technology heats products to 72–135 °C for ~ 10–30 seconds to ensure pasteurisation while preserving quality, freshness and flavor. UHT uses temperatures of 135 °C or higher for just 2–5 seconds to achieve commercial sterility, enabling long shelf life without refrigeration. This system is primarily an HTST unit but can also be configured to replicate entry-level UHT conditions. The product’s heating duration (residence time at temperature) is determined by the length of the holding tube and the pumping speed. By fitting a shorter holding tube (not included) and/or increasing the flow rate, the residence time can be reduced to approach the short durations typical of UHT processing.
